What can you expect at your first class or even your 10th or 20th class?
You will experience a welcoming environment - all walks of life, interests, experience or maybe not, all ages!
We have created a very 'warm' yet upbeat environment; one where you are free to move authentically, find that inner dancer and let loose. It's not about showing off, it's about freedom and getting lost in the music and the movement. It's true how the old saying goes 'You get out what you put into it!'
Classes are designed to run up to 75 minutes; this includes your Warm Up track (generally a movement rehearsal style track), full set of choreographed tracks you won't see anywhere else. Rock That Body routines are created JUST for that - specifically for RTB and RTB only. There are always new routines thrown in the mix as well as 'oldies but goodies' those that have become regulars will know and love. I have over 12 years of dance fitness experience and I do have quite a large library of routines; each class will be different. The more you come, the better you become. Just like anything - consistency works.
Class can have anywhere from 15 to 19 tracks in one class (sound like a lot? it goes FAST!) We end with a cool-down track then move into a short (and optional) isometric toning track.
Modifications are always shown; it is important this class is attainable to all fitness levels and abilities. There may also be choreography options in a routine. This is not to confuse participants, but to give OPTIONS. I am not a cookie-cutter instructor. We are all designed to be different and our dancing can and should be as unique as each individual on the dance floor.
Options are there for those that may want a little extra challenge or flair while others may enjoy a simpler, yet still effective, option.
MY STUDENTS ARE MY ULTIMATE INSPIRATION.
You will sweat. Some of you will sweat a lot. You will burn a nice amount of calories! You will have a post-cardio buzz that will carry you through the day in a happy and positive way thus creating a ripple effect for others!
With that said, sweat towels are recommended. Many bring their own.
Clean shoes are a must on these surfaces. Comfortable clothing. If wearing a cute outfit gets you amped up to WERK, wear the cute outfit. If you wanna rock all black, rock it!
ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS SHOW UP!
There is no sign up or commitment; of course we want you to become a regular. Drop Ins are always welcome. You can still join in the fun even if it is for one class. Dance fitness does have repetition and usually easy to catch on to. Punch cards are also offered for purchase to those who do want to make the commitment!
Come join us! Happy Dancing and ROCK ON!
Here's what participants are saying:
'Tara is an amazing instructor and has cultivated a supportive and inclusive community that encourages each other. I am genuinely sad on the rare occasions where I have to miss - it helps me just as much mentally as physically. The class/community makes me feel like I am going to a Dance Party with friends! I never look at the clock, like I do in most other workouts; time flies by.
It has helped me with my coordination and strength. I have zero dance background but after a few classes, I felt confident enough to 'shake it!'

'Rock That Body is an incredible dance workout! I love the energy that Tara brings to her class; it is inspiring! The music and choreography are so much fun and the community is welcoming and encouraging. I am so thankful to have RTB in my life - I look forward to every single class!'
